Public Domain
[Exhibition Identity]
Concept Project
Brief
Develop an exhibition identity for Public Domain, a conceptual gallery highlighting the cultural and creative importance of public domain resources. The identity needed to feel authoritative and refined while remaining flexible enough to house a wide range of artistic genres and styles
Execution
The visual identity — spanning color, layout, and typographic hierarchy — was designed to feel versatile, scholarly, and elegant, reflecting the breadth of what public domain makes possible. A flexible system runs throughout the branding, adaptable enough to showcase multiple genres and styles of art without losing cohesion. The wordmark is anchored by a monogram drawn from copyright formatting, grounding the identity in the very concept the gallery celebrates.
