Brief
Phenology — the study of seasonal natural events — is serious science practiced informally by millions of people who notice when the first robin arrives or when the maples begin to turn. Phenolog aggregates those quiet observations into a collective public record, treated with the same institutional seriousness as the National Weather Service or the USGS.
